How we support our values and give back to communities

Our social responsibility is underpinned by our shared values. These are at the heart of our organisation and are pivotal to the way we do business.

We work closely with the Footprints Foundation, supporting the vital work they do helping vulnerable communities in South Africa. We also work to support our colleagues, customers and communities closer to home, through initiatives like redressing gender inequality in the workplace. 

Supporting Footprints Foundation in South Africa

One of the ways Inprova is giving back to under-served communities is by sending a group of their enthusiastic employees to South Africa every year to help various orphanages in the Johannesburg area.

This year, eight volunteers spent a week supporting the Footprints Foundation. The work focussed primarily on supporting orphanages and nurseries that receive little or no government funding with other projects including the building of a community centre and the painting of dilapidated houses in the surrounding township. The video above gives a snapshot of the experience.

A company-wide ethic to help those in need

Support for the charity extends from the volunteers themselves to all employees across the business with many colleagues involved with fundraising activities including car washes, raffles, piano lessons, bake sales & sponsored events such as the three peaks run in Wales by our Head of Data Services. Our Director of Risk Management raised funds by jumping on his bike to 1003 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats in 12 days!

All these activities meant that we surpassed our contribution of almost £15,000 in 2017 to over £16,500 in 2018.

Redressing gender inequality in the workplace

We are committed to addressing the gender inequality that exists in society and are proud of the fact that more than half of our employees (57%) are women.

Amongst these are the leaders of  some of our most important business areas, including six key functions:

Head of Data Services,
Head of SME Sales,
Client Account Sales team manager,
Head of Contract & Pricing, and
Head of Marketing
